Calls for Nominations
The deadline is March 3 to submit nominations for a wide variety of APA boards and committees via a convenient online form. Simply log in using your MyAPA account and password and follow the directions. Some boards and committees included in this call are:
- Board for the Advancement of Psychology in the Public Interest
- Board of Scientific Affairs
- Ethics Committee
- Membership Board
- Policy and Planning Board
- Publications and Communications Board
The deadline is Jan. 11 for elected positions and March 7 for subcommittee chair positions on this advisory committee that gives students a voice at APA.

PSYCAS, a centralized application service for students applying to master's- and doctoral-level psychology graduate program, seeks input from individuals considering applying to graduate-level psychology programs. APA Commission on Accreditation (CoA)
Div. 16 (School Psychology) reports that CoA seeks public comment by Feb. 5, 2017, on five IRs tailored to the new Standards of Accreditation for Health Service Psychology and the revised Accreditation Operating Procedures. Revisions focus on: Discipline-Specific Knowledge (DSK); Direct Observation; Profession-Wide Competencies (PWC); Annual Reporting for Reaffirmation of Accreditation and Program Monitoring (D.4-7(a)); and Narrative Annual Reporting for Reaffirmation of Accreditation and Program Monitoring (D.4-7(c)).

Racial Trauma and Healing
Abstract submission deadline: June 20, 2017. Soliciting manuscripts on the effects of racial and ethnic trauma on people of color, such as African American, Asian American, Latina/o/Latinx Muslim, and American Indian individuals.
